How It Works
Three steps to a new revenue stream your institution does nothing to maintain.
We Assess Your Site
We evaluate your property for grid capacity, solar exposure, battery storage potential, and charger placement. No cost, no commitment. Just a clear picture of what your site can support.
We Install and Manage
Covenant Charge handles permitting, equipment procurement, installation, utility interconnection, and all ongoing maintenance across EV, solar, and storage systems. Your institution has zero operational burden.
You Receive Revenue
Each month, you receive a transparent performance report and direct deposit. You will always know exactly how your systems performed, what your institution earned, and why.
Independently or as an integrated system

A unique opportunity
Faith Institutions Are Uniquely Positioned for This
The transition to clean energy is creating long-term infrastructure opportunities tied to land, access, and community stability. Faith-based institutions have all three, yet many are unable or unwilling to pursue these programs on their own due to governance complexity or uncertainty about long-term obligations.
This is exactly the gap Covenant Charge exists to fill. We act as a long-term steward, not a vendor, so your institution can participate responsibly without distraction from its mission.
Long-Term Property Ownership
Energy infrastructure is a 15–30 year investment. Faith institutions own their properties for generations, making them the most stable and sought-after sites in the market.
Community Trust
A trusted institution campus is a preferred destination for EV drivers and a credible anchor for local energy infrastructure. That trust has real economic value.
Mission Alignment
Revenue generated here supports your institution's work: facilities, programs, and outreach. Drivers who share your values can choose to charge where it matters.
Collective impact
The Network at Work
We measure success not only by sites deployed, but by the strength of the missions those sites help fund.
Revenue figures represent program projections based on comparable energy infrastructure deployments. Actual results vary by site and service mix.
What your institution receives
Everything. You Handle Nothing.
Monthly Revenue
A transparent revenue share paid directly to your institution. No management fees hidden in fine print. What you earn is what you receive.
Zero Operational Work
We handle equipment, maintenance, network fees, utility coordination, and customer support. Your staff does nothing beyond receiving the monthly report.
Full Transparency
Monthly performance reports show energy generated, sessions served, system uptime, and a complete revenue breakdown across every service you participate in.
Long-Term Partnership
Agreements span 15–20 years with renewal options. We are not flipping sites or chasing short-term returns. We are here for the same reason you are.
Community Benefit
Your community gains access to reliable EV charging on a trusted campus, while your institution captures revenue that directly supports its work.
Mission Alignment
Revenue supports your institution's programs and facilities. Drivers who share your values can choose to charge in places that reflect what they believe in.
How we operate
Built for Long-Term Stewardship
Covenant, Not Contract
We design every partnership to reflect mutual commitment. You will have clear rights, fair terms, and a partner who does not exit when the market shifts or a better opportunity appears elsewhere.
Full Transparency
Every dollar tracked. Every report delivered on time. You will never wonder what is happening with your systems. The data is yours, the revenue is yours, and the relationship is built on openness.
Steward, Not Operator
We do not run energy infrastructure for profit at your expense. We represent your institution's interests in a complex market you should not have to navigate alone. Your mission stays your mission.
Common questions
Frequently Asked
Very little. Once the site assessment is complete and the partnership agreement is signed, Covenant Charge manages every aspect of installation, operation, and maintenance. Your team receives a monthly report and a direct deposit. That is your entire involvement.
Revenue depends on your service mix, site traffic, and local energy rates. Comparable faith institution sites with EV charging generate between $800 and $4,000 per charger per year. Sites with solar and storage see additional cost savings and incentive income on top of that. We will provide a site-specific projection during your assessment, with no obligation.
You choose what fits your site and your institution. EV charging, battery storage, and solar can each be deployed independently. For many sites, a combined system delivers significantly better returns, but we will never push services that do not make sense for your specific property.
That depends on which path works best for your institution. In our preferred arrangement, your institution purchases and owns the equipment using financing provided through Covenant Charge. You build equity in a long-term asset while we handle all operations. Alternatively, Covenant Charge can fund and own the equipment entirely, with no financial commitment from your institution; you receive a revenue share in exchange for the site license. Either way, Covenant Charge manages all installation, maintenance, and operations for the life of the agreement.
We coordinate directly with your utility provider and, where possible, establish a separate meter for the energy infrastructure. Your institution's existing electricity bill is not affected. Where solar is part of the system, it can directly offset your energy costs.
Yes. Covenant Charge works with churches, synagogues, mosques, schools, and any mission-driven organization regardless of denomination or tradition. The program is designed to serve the common good, not any particular faith community.
From signed agreement to systems online: typically 4–8 months, depending on utility interconnection timelines and permitting in your jurisdiction. Solar and storage systems follow similar timelines. We manage the entire process and keep you updated at every milestone.
